The music video for Sabrina Carpenter’s new single Espresso has peak summer vibes.
When the song Espresso dropped after over a week of teasing the song on her side account Team Sabrina, with a vague photo of Sabrina on a beach and a pre-save link in a different color scheme than her emails, I can’t send era, combined with coffee emotions being used, I knew we were in for a treat.
Excited about the songs released, I stayed up until it was released and was admittedly shocked. The song wasn’t what I expected, but I immediately knew it was a bop. After listening to it a few times more, I was hooked. The lyrics and beat were stuck in my head when I woke up the following day.
With the promise of a music video later that day, I couldn’t have been more excited to see how she would approach the video.
The Music Video
The video exceeded my expectations and made me love the song more. I fell in love with the aesthetic of the music video, which made me excited for the summer. The humor from the song was perfectly displayed in the video, only adding to the song’s fun energy.
Watching Sabrina and her friends in the music video having a great time beachside made me long for summer, and wanting to have a good time with friends or having fun while listening to the song.
Sabrina also delivers what should be the motto of summer (and maybe in general), “my give a fucks are on vacation.” It’s genuinely peak summer energy and goals.
My love for the catchy song was even further cemented as my song of the summer when she performed it during her Coachella set.

The dance, the set, and the vibes of both of her Coachella performances were immaculate overall, but the addition of Espresso was particularly exciting. Unfortunately, Sabrina’s Coachella set was taken off of YouTube, but we still have amazing videos by the fans who were there!
The Coachella set-list was similar to the one she performed at the Era’s Tour, with a few tweaks. Such as incorporating the song love fool with the song feather. What was also exciting as we saw similar yet different costumes than we’ve seen on the Era’s Tour, as well as the emails I can’t send tour.
Espresso is a great first single for what I assume will be a new album and era. I’m beyond excited to see what comes next. In the meantime, you can catch me listening to Espresso and dreaming of summer.
