What is Loungefly?
Loungefly is a well-known fashion brand popular among many fandoms, particularly with Disney Parks fans. If you’ve ever been to a Disney Park or follow any Disney Park influencers, you’ve seen them before even if you didn’t know the brand.
There are various bag types, but the most popular by a long shot are their themed staple backpacks (pictured below). The most popular backpacks come in around $80 USD, are decieving because while they appear small, they can hold much more than you think.
While Loungefly backpacks may have a hefty price tag, they’re worth it. As a Disney Passholder, I found investing in a Disney Parks backpack fitting, knowing I would have numerous opportunities to proudly display my love for the parks and incorporate it into my outfit or Disneybound.
Do they withstand a day at the Disney Parks?
To my complete surprise, the bag remained in perfect condition after being somewhat drenched by the rain, and the contents of my backpack weren’t impacted at all. This was shocking. All I had to do was wipe it off to get any of the water off, and as we continued our day at the park, it was like the backpack was never in a torrential downpour in the first place.
This is one of the main reasons I love Loungefly backpacks for when you’re heading to the Disney Parks, as the day due to Florida can be quite unpredictable.
How much can you fit inside?
The backpack is surprisingly large than you would think. As long as you are not trying to fit all the items in your bag for a large group of people or have particularly large items, the backpack will hold almost everything you need for a day at the parks.
I was always in charge of bringing the items for our group, which consisted of 3 people. While they carried a small fanny pack or something similar for their phones, most of the items were in my bag.
Typically, I was able to fit a large charging bank with the cords we needed, magsafe charging banks, a water bottle or two, random chapsticks, sunscreen, and anything else we may have picked up in the park that day. It was impressive how much the bag could fit, considering how small it looks online or in the stores at the theme parks.
If the amount you can fit in the backpack is one of your main hold-ups, and you’re not carrying items for a large group of people, you should be able to carry what you need for a day at the parks.
Are they worth the cost?
I personally believe that the Loungefly backpack is worth the price. In my experience, the bag is durable and can handle being tossed around at the parks, whether you’re moving the backpack to get on a ride, are getting bumped into by other people, or set your bag down when you grab something to eat. This also translates outside the theme park, as it’s a great daily bag.
Overall, Loungefly backpacks are highly versatile and great for expressing your love for your fandom.
